Hertha Berlin v VfB Stuttgart
Bundesliga
18:30 (GMT) August 26, 2011
Olympiastadion, Berlin, Germany
Hertha Berlin coach Markus Babbel has vowed to hit his former club Stuttgart in a bid to give the fans at the Olympiastadion something to celebrate at long last.
Berlin have not won a home Bundesliga match for two years, but Babbel intends to change that tomorrow dark with a display of attacking football.
1. "We are playing at home and we will be attack-minded," said Babbel, who confirmed his intention to play by three strikers.
2. "We have more or fewer been playing with three and a half forwards anyway - with Tunay Torun, Adrian Ramos, Patrick Ebert and Raffael behind them,'' he added.
3. "We just want to be ruthless and take the chances that we create.''
4. Babbel is not looking for personal glory, though, against the club who gave him his primary opportunity in coaching.
5. "I had five fantastic years in Stuttgart,'' he said the Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper.
6. "At the end of my career (as a player), I won the Bundesliga and then I was given the chance to set myself in the shop window as a coach.
7. "I silent have a good contact with Stuttgart and like to come back there now and again.''
8. However, former Berlin winger Ibrahima Traore hopes Babbel is not given a new fond memory of Stuttgart tomorrow.
9. "I expect us to com first this game,'' he said on his club's official website. "We have started the season well, but could have had a few more points than we do.''
10. Traore is not so far a fixture on the Stuttgart team sheet and he may have to make do with a place on the bench, but Serdar Tasci is set to start after shaking off an injury.
11. His recovery is timed perfectly as Khalid Boulahrouz is suspended after picking up a red card last weekend.
12. Just Brazilian forward Ronny is unavailable for Berlin as Babbel continues to bemoan his lack of effort in training.
